Chewelah, Washington
Off the main road and in a little valley Kevin and Ann of Green Mantis Farm own around 40 acres of both pasture and wooded land. There they raise Blue Face Leister/Border Leister cross sheep along with their cats, chicken, and geese.
They raise their BFL/BL sheep mainly for wool – crimpy and springy pencil-like locks can been seen on almost all of their sheep ranging from dark brown almost black, to reddish brown, grey, oatmeal, and white. The BFL/BL sheep are known for their long Roman noses and upright ears.
